Façonnable x Jean Cocteau

Posts, Visuals

The poetic love for the Mediterranean sun was the source of inspiration for the Spring-Summer 2015 Capsule Collection of Façonnable. The French Riviera house inspired their latest collection on the work of Jean Cocteau, a 20th century poet.

Smets Premium Store in Brussels organised an event on the 5th of February to celebrate the launch of the capsule collection by Façonnable, inspired by Jean Cocteau. The store turned into white and blue, the main colours that represent the Mediterranean atmosphere. Everywhere you look, you can find poetry, calligraphic lines and blue stars; the trademark of the collection. Another main component of his work is a visage, which can be found on the wall and sweaters.

A collection launch is never complete without the right tone. Smets Premium Store made a successful cocktail party with snacks and a lot of fashion. The store has collections from a various amount of designers: Balenciaga, Comme des Garçons, Givenchy, Hood By Air, Kenzo, Moschino, Phillip Plein and many others.

Accompanied by my friends, we took a look and tried some clothes and accessories of these collections. My fashionable friend Lisse showed us some of the most trending outfits: a short sleeve t-shirt by Moschino and prototype glasses by Courrèges.

I also got the chance to meet and chat with the lovely Tiany Kiriloff from ‘The Kirilove Blog‘.

I would like to end this post with a quote from Jean Cocteau.

Be yourself. The world worships the original.
